Book Cover Design
Quiet Practice
Some projects carry a little extra meaning, and Quiet Practice was one of them. Having known Max Fisher for over 20 years, it was a genuine privilege to be trusted with the cover design for their debut book, Quiet Practice: A DeafBlind Druid’s Guide to Practice Without Speech.
Published by Fenix Flames Publishing, the book explores accessible approaches to spiritual practice for pagans and druids who may be non-speaking, DeafBlind, experiencing sensory loss, managing anxiety, or simply seeking new ways to engage with their faith. Centred around inclusion, advocacy, and belonging, the book challenges traditional assumptions about how spiritual practice is experienced and expressed.
For this project, I created the cover artwork, developing a nature-inspired design that reflects the book’s themes of quiet reflection, connection, and accessibility. Seeing a lifelong friend’s first book published and available worldwide has made this a particularly memorable project.
